Viscar Exhibits at the IEK Engineers Conference

The 24th Engineers International Conference organized by the Institution of Engineers of Kenya (IEK) in collaboration with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) took place from 10th to 12th May 2017 at the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi.

The event was brought together to provide a platform for engineers, academicians, industrialists and associated professionals from the Eastern African region and other parts of the world to share experiences, challenges and new knowledge on engineering matters. The event was officially opened by the Permanent Secretary for Infrastructure Eng. John Mosonik. The conference featured a comprehensive technical program with distinguished keynote speakers from the industry, academia and policy makers. The theme for the 2017 conference was “Engineering Innovations and Strategic Solutions. The Institution of Engineers of Kenya is the learned society of the engineering profession and co-operates with national and other international institutions in developing and applying engineering for the benefit of humanity.

Viscar had the privilege of exhibiting its products to over 200 participants who showed up at the event. We have showcased our Training, Resourcing and Consultancy services to various directors, engineers and human resource managers who visited our booth. Viscar staff engaged individuals who visited our booth giving them a summary of what we do and providing further information on the services they were interested in.

We also showcased our fall arrest kit to the visitors whom showed interest in buying the personal protection equipment kits to ensure safety in their place of work. They were also indulged on the benefits of undertaking work heights training which we provide.

The forum ended on 12th May 2017 with Viscar staff interacting and networking with various potential clients and partners. Our training services were the most enquired service as various professionals seeked to keep up to date with technical and industrial developments, management aspects of engineering, changes in technology and relevant developments in Kenya.
