Our History

Viscar Industrial Capacity Ltd started its operations having been registered as a private Limited company on 1st August 2008 under the laws of Kenya. It originally started its operations in shared premises along Parliament Road, Imani House 4th Floor. Viscar’s vision right from the beginning has been to offer training and consultancy with a specialisation in the Engineering field.

Under the visionary leadership of the founder and CEO Eng. David Mulongo, Viscar which is the acronym for VISion for CAReers has grown from strength to strength. He has steered the company from a single dream and burning desire to make a difference and turn around the standards of engineering in this country, to the reality of driving innovation and excellence in capacity building for corporates from a wide variety of sectors

Milestones

2008

Viscar Industrial Capacity Ltd Opened its doors to the world as a training firm with offices shared on Imani House along parliament Road in Nairobi transforming fresh graduate Engineers with its brainchild solution fondly referred as the Engineering Graduate Development Programme (EGDP) that was objectively developed to help bridge the gap between Engineering and ICT academic qualifications and industry skills demand, through hands-on knowledge and skills transfer thereby enhancing the fresh graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship potential.

2010

The need to fulfill a gap in Engineering technology was quenched by Introduction to corporate trainings as well resourcing for companies requiring Technical resources-A product that saw Viscar successfully deploy its Engineers through Ericsson Kenya Ltd to roll out Safaricom Digital city project.

Resourcing as a product has broadly grown and now we are proud to be providing Safaricom with engineers working at its Network Operation Centre (NOC).

2012

To sustain its rapid growth and to fulfill the ever changing clients’ training needs, Viscar moved from the city centre to Ngong’ road setting up a state of art training room with training facilities and equipment.

2016

Viscar launched 4 years strategic plan with a renewed Vision of becoming the Leading African firm providing Capacity Enhancement in Engineering Technology Globally added with the company tagline of “Enhancing Performance and Productivity” as brand promise to our esteemed clients and the market as a whole.

2018

Viscar was recognized and awarded the TOP 100 Mid-sized company prize owing to its significant and valuable contribution towards skills development especially for the technical human resources in the country. This same year saw Viscar enter into partnerships with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) towards offering Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training for Engineers as well as with the National Construction Authority towards offering CPD training for technical resources in the Building and Construction industry.

This year also saw Viscar bring onboard the highest number of new organizational clients with the number of clients served by Viscar since inception hitting the 100th mark

It is in the same year that Viscar began the journey of ISO certification so as to attain ISO 9001:2015 certification that is planned for completing by mid 2019.
